Carbs & Parts:
       Mikuni is the best stock replacement, even though it does not have the original 29mm size carb body it h as a 30mm, but we like to send a 32mm which is the same body size instead.  THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MIKUNI ARE:  it has a choke KIT that allows you to put a cable from the 350 on your 250.,  IT has a place to mount the dial a jet. 

BUT the best # 1 advantage of the Mikuni carb is that all the parts are replaceable for better tuning and service. The BEST ADVANTAGE IS  we can install a 1. 5 float valve (needle & seat) which means we can  eliminate the by pass T and run the fuel line directly from fuel pump to carb.  The bypass T is #3 on our list for what burns pistons up! 

             98% OF THE TIME I CAN PRE JET YOUR CARB DEAD ON THE MONEY!  UPON PURCHASE PLEASE WRITE IN THE NOTE SECTION OR TELL ME, WHAT YOU HAVE. I will need to know the piston size and what you have for accessories. Like, do you have a Aftermarket pipe & if you have any port work, if so, who done it & (please list how much on 1 to 10 scale), I also need to know if you have a reed spacer and what brand of reeds?  Boysen or V-3 reeds .If you have a open intake air box system,  do you have a foam filter or K&N replacement filter or anything else that would require jetting adjustments. Hoffco Comet Clutches, has FOLDED. I bought out another distributer, but had to give just a bit more than retail for them! Add that with shipping  and unfortunately that makes them a bit more pricy. I have done my best to keep that cost as low as possible.

As most of you know, these clutches are the best clutch systems out there, they are the toughest and last the longest. They are 100% PROBLEM FREE!! as long as they are maintained properly. Mostly that means: Lube them each time you use them, with a  HIGH IMPACT  SILICON/GRAPHITE dry lube spray! DO NOT USE HARDWARE STORE  STUFF! John Deer & Case Tractors make a good Lubricant for this.

THE EGT is the  #1 TOOL to keep YOUR odyssey/pilot running!!   THE EGT  WILL PROLONG CYLN. DAMAGE AND PISTON LIFE!

NOT ONLY  AIR COOLED ENGINE FIND THIS TOOL INVALUABLE, BUT ITS JUST IMPORTANT ON THE WATER COOLED ENGINES!  THE PILOT OWNERS FIND IT JUST AS VALUABLE AS EVERYONE ELSE!!

Use the DIGATRON EGT to TUNE YOUR CARB. JETTING and to warn you when you  EXCEED EXHAUST GAS TEMPS that will lead to piston &/or cyln. Failure   

          The EGT will keep you from seizing your piston up due to high temp's, caused by a a possible of a cracked intake manifold, a leaky seal, failed fuel systems (#1),  miss jetting  (#2) , or the by pass T from Honda (#3) (REQUIRED ON ALL KEHIEN CARBS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR BECAUSE KEHIEN PRESSES A ODD SIZE FLOAT VALVE (NEEDLE & SEAT)  INTO THEIR CARBS, IT IS A , 2.5),  these are the top two reasons for seizing a piston. The DIGATRON allows you to set a limit, when the EXHAUST GAS temps inside the cyln. reach this limit it will start FlAsHiNg  to warn you!  By mounting the unit on top of the steering wheel, when the EGT starts fLaShInG it will catch your peripheral vision, you can back off the throttle before focusing in to read the temp.  I have over a couple dozen engines built in the upper 50 to lower 60 hp that are air cooled from TEX. through KS. & Neb. Like anyone else when we get a chance to ride, we ride a 12 to 16 hr day with just average breaks. 

        THE BAD TEMP. TO REMEMBER IS 1335 degrees this is where the Wiseco piston will fail and with in 20 seconds the rings can start loosing tension, thus compression, to a hole in the piston before 2 minuets are up. Now you have to measure the temp. of the exhaust GAS in the center of the exhaust pipe! NO OTHER WAY WILL BE AS ACCURATE OR WORK NEARLY AS WELL!  The exhaust gas can change 100 degrees in a fraction of a second, leaving the analog units, lagging behind so please stay with digital. With the Digatron you can have two buffers to protect yourself. The first buffer comes from you setting your limit to 1250 degrees, this gives you your first buffer because you have plenty of time to back off before 1335 degrees. Your second buffer comes because we have you tune both your MAIN JET AND THE MID RANGE JET (needle in the slide) to 1100 degrees to 1150 degrees.

         Along with the EGT, we find that taking a compression test every time we mix a 4 or 5 gal. batch of fuel will help get up to 5 seasons between  boring the cyln. Of course you'll have approx. 3 ring changes and possibly one piston ring change to do that. When you get down to 120 lb. or no lower than 115 lb. of compression, that is when you change the rings or piston and rings if necessary. We have found that  the Mikuni carb, has also been a big help on making the Odysseys and Pilots reliable. IF OdysseySalvage rebuild your engine, we require you have to have a EGT gauge, to complete the warranty. The EGT guarantees to me that you can properly tune your engine and not exceed damaging temps.

CALL DG Pipe (DG IS ADVERTIZED AS A STOCK REPLACEMENT PIPE  with a  PERFORMANCE SILENCER   the silencer (a shorter and smaller in diameter silencer)  is what gives its more power than the stock pipe,  but nothing compared to a True Performance Expansion Chambered Pipe, like the T/EEE. In fact, Honda still had it's paten  on their pipe at the time they made the DG and because of that DG de tuned that pipe enough to avoid paten infringements. That is why their silencer on a stock pipe will out perform their complete pipe system. $

A. Use shopping Karts provided by PayPal

B. If there are not karts for the items you would like. Making a manual PayPal purchase through your PayPal account for the amount of the parts. Then list the items in the comment box. If it is necessary for me to make adjustments, say you over est. the shipping and pay to much, I will refund the difference and if you come up a little short, I will ask for the difference. Several guys do it this way, they have found it is sometimes easier to send a extra few dollars over what they think it will take for shipping, I have always been honest with shipping and do not try to make a profit on it. I always refund a over payment.

  To do that, just sign in on your PayPal account, click on the send money tab. Then Put OdysseySalvageSales@gmail.com into the Email address, for to make the pmt to. Also click the Non Action Goods, then in the subject line please put "Parts Purchase"  and list those parts and prices in the comment box. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET SHIPPING. A good way to figure that is to go onto UPS. com, figure from your address to mine then add a few extra dollars to be sure because they are rarely the same and don't forget to add the proper amount of insurance. I always round out the cost to the even dollar, so if its 9.89, I charge $10. Now on shipping  over $50, I add $3 dollars, 100 to 1000 I add $5 dollars, UPS has a habit of adding fuel and other fees onto my billing that I receive one week later and I like to cover tape (which isn't cheep) and the occasional special boxes we have to purchase.

C. Call me and purchase parts with a  credit card. I only accept Visa and Master Cards that are NOT REWARDS CARDS, IF IT IS I HAVE TO ASK FOR AN ADDITIONAL 6.25% to cover their fees that are over the regular master or visa cards.

D. You can always send a Postal Money order and include a list of what you would like. I can cash a postal money order at my post office that makes it easier to get the parts out to you quicker. As a rule I will not accept anything but the postal money order, I occasionally will make an exception for other money orders but with those I have to wait until it clears the bank. I bank 300 miles away, so by the time I get the check deposited and it clears it can take 10 days.

Digatron Gauges Keep track of your exhaust temp. and keep from seizing your piston from high temp's.

ITS THE #1 tool to keep YOUR odyssey/pilot running!!   ESPECIALLY ALL AIR COOLED ENGINES!  on the 350 the EGT is better than water cooling the head &/or cyln.

Use the DIGATRON EGT to TUNE YOUR CARB. JETTING and to WARN YOU WHEN YOU EXCEED TEMPS THAT WILL DAMAGE THE PISTON &/OR CYLN.  The EGT will keep you from seizing your piston up due to high temp's, failed fuel systems or miss jetting are the top two reasons for seizing a piston. The Digatron allows you to set a limit, when the temps of the cyln. reach this limit it will start FlAsHiNg  to warn you!  By mounting the unit on top of the steering wheel, when the EGT starts fLaShInG it will catch your peripheral vision, you can back off the throttle before focusing in to read the temp.  I have a couple dozen engines built in the upper 50 to lower 60 hp that are air cooled through out the bottom  of TEX. through KS. & Neb.. When any of us get a chance to ride we ride a 12 to 16 hr day with very little breaks. The EGT and Mikuni carbs are what allows us to do this. ONE MORE THING;   IF I rebuild your engine, you have to have a EGT gauge, for me to warrant my work. The EGT guarantees me that you can properly tune your engine and not exceed damaging temps.

Now that Christina is here, someone will be answering the phones all the time except during lunch.  Christina started here in June and though she is new to the Odyssey sport, she has been a quick learner.   She can take your orders and she is learning the rest quite well. What Christina can't answer for you, I can and I will be happy to help you when I'm in the shop. Your help would be appreciated with patients and giving her a good explanation of the parts your after.

Now I will still have an Doctor app.'s, once or twice a week, usually in the mornings and all day on Wed. That is because I'm a heart transplant and I received this new transplant heart back in Dec. 1989 on Christmas weekend (that is my new birthday) hee hee. Though the heart is doing pretty well, I have acquired just a few health issues that unfortunately rule my own schedule. So there will be times I am not in, but Christina will let me know if I need to contact you for something she could not handle for you.

The reason I'm telling this is so everyone will understand why I'm not always here.  As a rule I don't turn the answering machine on to take recordings, I get to many recordings and honestly, I just don't do a good job returning the calls. But that may change with Christina here now, we may try letting you talk as long as everyone will keep it short and to the point please.

On my home page, I'm going to go into some of what is going on with the heart transplant stuff for those who are intereseted. It may take me awhile to complete it, so it will be a work in progress. I will start it shortly.
